Following our first two reports in 2023 and 2024, the current publication expands the scope, analyzing responses from 4,280 farmers across 30 districts in 4 states. We highlight farmers challenges and potential solutions, devoting a special section to labor and mechanization.

At EIP, we are dedicated to fostering a global innovation ecosystem that empowers entrepreneurs to deliver solutions enhancing the productivity, resilience, climate adaptation and mitigation for smallholder farmers.

This year's report, built on data from 3,088 farmers across 22 districts in India, highlights pressing obstacles and promising opportunities in smallholder agriculture.

Despite being overlooked by many, these farmers represent a massive market—600 million globally, with 150 million in India alone. Investing in their productivity not only brings economic, environmental, and social benefits but also opens new markets and innovation opportunities in agriculture.
